Account and sign-in

Creating an account

GutWell AI asks for an email address and a password. Your check-ins are tied to that account, so signing in on another device restores your history.

I cannot sign in

1. Check the email address for typos and extra spaces.
2. Confirm the device has a working internet connection.
3. If the password may be wrong, reset it using the steps below.
4. Still stuck? Email us with the address on the account.

Resetting your password

1. On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password.
2. Enter your account email address and submit.
3. Open the reset email and tap the button inside it.
4. Your browser may ask which app should open the link — allow it to open GutWell AI.
5. Choose a new password and sign in with it.

Reset links can be used once and expire after a short time. If yours no longer works, request a new one. If the email has not arrived after a few minutes, check your spam folder.

Subscriptions and purchases

GutWell AI has a free tier. An optional Premium subscription unlocks additional features. Subscriptions are sold through Apple, and payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency at the time of purchase.

Prices are not showing, or a purchase will not start

1. Confirm the device is online.
2. Close GutWell AI fully and reopen it.
3. Check that you are signed in to the App Store on the device.
4. If it persists, email us and mention which plan you were trying to buy.

I was charged but Premium is not active

Use Restore Purchases first — see below. If Premium is still inactive afterwards, email us. Purchases are processed by Apple, so billing questions and refunds are handled through Apple.

Restore Purchases

Use this after reinstalling the app or when signing in on a new device.

1. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID used for the purchase.
2. Open GutWell AI and go to the subscription screen.
3. Tap Restore Purchases.
4. Wait for the confirmation, then reopen the app.

Restoring only recovers purchases made with the Apple ID currently signed in on the device.

Managing or cancelling your subscription

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Cancellation is handled in your Apple account settings, not inside GutWell AI.

1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
2. Tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions.
3. Select GutWell AI.
4. Choose to change the plan or cancel.

After cancelling, Premium stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. Refund requests are made through Apple.

Troubleshooting

• The app will not open or behaves oddly: force-quit it and reopen. If that fails, restart the device.
• A screen looks stuck: check your connection — some screens wait on a response.
• Photo or voice input is not working: check that camera, photo library, microphone, and speech recognition permissions are enabled in Settings → GutWell AI.
• Notifications are not arriving: confirm notifications are allowed in Settings → GutWell AI, and that reminders are switched on in the app.
• The app is out of date: update it from the App Store, then reopen.

Deleting your account

You can delete your GutWell AI account from inside the app. This permanently removes your account and the data stored with it, including check-ins, meal logs, symptoms, scores, and profile details. It cannot be undone.

1. Open GutWell AI and go to your Profile tab.
2. Scroll to Delete Account.
3. Confirm when prompted.

Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Cancel it separately in your Apple subscription settings using the steps above. If you cannot access the app to delete your account, email us from the address on the account and we will help.
